Windscreen wiper modification

As promised, here is a photograph of my windscreen wiper mod.

What did I do?

1. Repositioned the passenger blade level with the bottom of the VIN window in the windscreen.
2. Bought another passenger arm from Dan @ Duckworths (just under £30 delivered if I remember) and changed it for the original derivers one.
3. Positioned the new drivers arm about 1" (2.5cm) vertically above the exisiting passenger one.

Affects:

1. Can't see the wipers from inside the car.
2. Drivers unswept area is about 1cm higher than before and is about 1cm wider at the bottom of the arm, but a bit narrower at the top.

RE: Windscreen wiper modification

I had the dealership move my wipers down, but I did notice that the blades needed to be an inch longer. Thereafter it took a while to get the arms bent such that there was no wiper noises under certain conditions. I can't honestly say why Range Rover would mess up on wiper assembly so badly.

Just go to your dealer and ask for a LHD passenger wiper arm; you just need the wiper arm as you will swap over the wiper blade. The price in Germany for the part was €58, so more than the UK price. Might be cheaper via Dan @ Duckworths - but then there is the postage.
