How is the residual payment only $10,400? Is that a misprint? The residual payment is the amount required to buy the car at lease-end, right?

We placed a deposit for £12,500, with a 48 month loan and balloon payment at end for £15,000 or £14,000 I think. Interest is about 10% and car cost £46,500.

Payments were working out about £590 per month. However we have a deal where we can pay additional lump sums when we want. So far I have placed down £6k additional in the last few months and now it's down to £425 per month. I will pay off almost all by the end of the end of the year. I didn't want to plunge our savings when originally buying the car, but this Land Rover Loam agreement is way to expensive to pay out over 48 months.

EvoqueNorCal - Firstly I think your question is a little personal, it might be ok to ask this in the US, but in the UK we tend not to ask this type of question. Everyones circumstances are different, hence you will get a range of different types of finance packages, loans, cash, PCP etc.

Yes.
No misprint. And yes.

/\ if you put that much down payment then why not just purchase it? What if you get into an accedent? I think there is a lot of risk in your part putting that amount of down payment for a lease car.

Yup! I live in Thailand too and can assure you that right now it's actually 4Million baht and above because of the tax which has moved up again. (Price varies depending on the options) grrrrrrr
