Washed the car yesterday
Yup, got the garden hose and buckets out and got it well cleaned as I had an appointment today in Stirling.......................
Due to road works in the next village I had to take an alternative route not quite cross country but along narrow farm lanes and back roads. Got to town and the car wasn't too dirty.
Coming home was a different story as I took some of the unclassified lanes that I know and had great fun in company with a Nissan 4WD pickup in front and a Suzuki Vitara following me and the result.
I think I might just fit a set of mud flaps
So as I have a funeral to attend tomorrow looks like this afternoon will be spent car washing again.

Nice abstract art there Tim, suggest a set of mud flaps would be a good idea, it will also help save any sill rash too!

Well the heavens have just opened here so half the clean up is being done for me, I must admit that the Gard-X treatment is proving to have been a good investment because a lot of the normal road dirt washes off very easily with even a heavy rain shower or driving through standing water on the roadside.

Do you intend to drive in muddy verges a lot then Caroline? IIRC a full set of mud flaps fitted by the dealer is around £150. Normally the car has stayed pretty clean. There is only one drawback to fitting mud flaps - they often get mangled if you take your car to places I sometimes take mine.

Dealer quoted me 105 front and 105 rear fitted! Not sure what they would be to buy and fit yourself?

Your Dealers are extracting the urine with those prices, you can buy a set on eBay circa £100 just remember to order the right set as the Pure & Prestige differ from the Dynamic.
I believe the wheels will need to come off to fit, so if you don't want the hassle tell your Dealers you'll give them £150 incl vat as these will be costing them £60-70 max and the rest is labour charges...
