Useful off-roading tips.
Why would any want anything but Auto? By far the better choice around town and going off road.
Somewhere in the North Sea.

Because some of us actually enjoy driving, where is the enjoyment in an auto?
td4 Pure manual in orkney grey, auto wipers/lights, front fogs, spare wheel. carmats4u mats, travall dog guard. Collected 30/03/12.

As ED209 pointed out in another post, automatics have their uses............ no smell of burning clutch for a start. Each to their own, I have an auto Evoque and a manual Defender so will sit on the fence with this debate!
Also another tip..................... keep the windows closed if you are going through deep water or mud - makes a hell of a mess of the interior if you get water splashes or mud inside....... and it driving in dusty conditions it stops dust getting inside
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
