US Spec Evoque in the UK - SatNav Won't Work - Ideas Needed

They contacted me today and said it cant be done now!!! What a joke! Wish i would of stayed with BMW now! this is so stupid cant even use a tom tom as it doesnt get sat signal though the heated window!

Hello, I have same issues that you guys mentioned. I'm stationed over in Germany and bought a 2012 US spec Evoque. Did you by any chance fixed the problem? I've been looking at navigation.com and order new update for european map from navtaq, but don't know if it will update it. Thanks for your help

I havent tried since the updates are available but you should give it a try for sure!

I'm surprised that you cannot get a signal through the heated screen as the GPS(A) in my iPhone and iPads work ok inside the car behind the heated screen. Do you also have the UV reflecting glass by any chance as that is more likely to be the cause of your TOmTom not working than the heated screen. If your TomTom has Bluetooth then BT connected sucker cap mounted antennae are available too to stick on the inside of a side glass or the panoramic roof

I think the UV reflecting glass is standard on US models

See if you can order the European maps from Land Rover. You input your VIN number to order and my guess is if they wont work against your VIN then you won't be able to order? Just thought.

Got the Update in and when you put it in it says that the date of maps on disk is older than current maps! so that doesnt work either! on another note for anyone with a european spec Evoque i have the maps disk update for sale 180 quid!

Send it back and get a refund
You can get a good TomTom with Western Europe maps for a lot less
Or even get the TomTom app fro you iPhone, its about £60 for western Europe with free updates
