RE: Tyre wear so far
I am amazed too, now done 48k, going in for service Wednesday
Pirelli scorpions 18s
Front 4mm across the full width
Rears 6mm across the full width
Car still drives smooth with no vibration, I have been having a lot of fun with family members, one who has a Volvo xc60, same size tyres now on third set for a similar mileage.
I am really pleased with the tyres, used in snow, launched boat plenty of times in deep sand and munch up many motorway miles, amazing, car suspension set up and tyres obviously suited very well as it still seems to handle like a GTI
Will be replacing with the same for sure
One of the happy owners, ordered June 2011, delivered Wednesday 8th February 2012, now 97000 miles. Scorpions lasted 78'000 miles.
Pure TD4 5 door, fuji white, ebony interior, Pan roof, Front fogs, spare wheel, privacy glass, towbar and black roofrails.
Cars got to go back to company March 25th 2015

RE: Tyre wear so far
When you consider how much a replacement tyre costs they should last a life time! I have 18000 miles on mine, by the same miles in my first RRS I had already replaced both the front tyres as they had worn very badly on the shoulders, I suspect due to the weight of the car. They were Continentals as well which was why I changed my next RRS tyres to Pirellis which were still good at 37000 miles and why I was less than pleased when the Evoque came with Continentals as standard. Faith is being restored in Continentals
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
