Today is build day at last

The order was placed with the dealer in the first week of December 2011 - and made the February 2012 allocation to the factory, and now today is the build date - not much longer to wait....

Have they told you it was build day today?? or is this the 'original' date you were given a little while back.
In which case, a quick call might well telll you it's already built! lol

If not, then only 10 days or so to go

The dealer has been monitoring the LR site on a daily basis - there was no VIN allocated yesterday, I think LR only do that when the shell is mounted on the track and the vehicle gets an identity. That said from all accounts there is often a time lag between the physical real world and the systems so its perfectly possible that its already built. Even the dealer told me that vehicles often appear on a transporter as a complete surprise...

Cool! Have just spoken to the dealer and they have 5 Evoques and 2 Freelanders all in build today...there's hope. No VINs published though.

Update from the dealer today - mine will get delivered to the this Thursday (10th) with delivery either Friday or Saturday if no hold-ups. At long last!

Great news Straydox. You seem to have been waiting a very long time! I look forward to seeing the pics and reading of your first impressions soon. Enjoy the handover.
