RE: Headlight problem
If they are OEM and fail in the warranty period then LR will replaced them for free normally.
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Headlight problem
I have exactly the same issue - There must be a problem beyond just bulbs.
Halfords would also not fit the bulbs on my evoque as above.
Any ideas ?

RE: Headlight problem
I understood there was a loom modification made under warranty that fitted a Ballast to prevent the bulbs blowing, but don't know what cases or situations that applies to.
Are these bulbs blowing on switch on or after being on a long time?

RE: Headlight problem
sometimes the bulbs blow on start up and sometimes after being on a while
its apparently down to the projector shutters retaining the heat from the bulbs and causing them to blow/explode/melt
there is a tech bulletin for Freelander 2 with halogen projector that costs about £100 but is a free modification by LR main dealers. That involves modifying the wiring loom to the lights, and I believe that involves some sort of current limiting in order to stop the bulbs from blowing. LR also changed their bulb manufacturer/supplier for HB3 bulbs as well.
The tech bulletin applies to all FL2 with HB3 bulb fitment, so I would expect any such bulletin for the Evoque would be the same... if you have Halogen HB3 projector bulbs you qualify for the modification FOC at main dealers.
2012 Evoque Pure 5 door - Santorini Black, 20'' style 6 wheels, privacy, fogs, (accident damaged wreck direct from LR approved :roll
2011 Evoque Prestige 3 door - Indus Silver, gloss black 19'' style 5 wheels, privacy, partial black pack.
and a few Freelander 2 over the years
