With the rate at which people in SE Asia are demanding pay rises it is reckoned in the financial world that many companies will be bringing production back to Europe/UK as the savings are now being eroded and there is the 5 weeks transport time by sea that also goes if the production comes back onshore. German company Miele has just relocated all their production back to Germany - they don't have the shipping time and they can control production much easier if the factory is just across the street and not an 18hour flight away. The relentless increases in fuel costs also mean shipping costs are going through the roof.
