Tailgate opening problems
My Evoque is 5 years old and I'm having problems with the tailgate opening. When I open it with the fob it opens fine the first time but if I try to open it shortly afterwards it clicks and unlocks but the tailgate doesn't lift up.
If I wait hours or the next day it opens and the tailgate lifts up but if I try a second time it just clicks open.
I am wondering if there is a problem with the arms or perhaps a sensor.
Has anyone else had this problem?

RE: Tailgate opening problems
sounds like a sensor/computer glitch - it has to reset itself with time. but i've never heard of this issue.

RE: Tailgate opening problems
The only thing you can try is resetting the height, which means opening it to the height you desire, then holding the Button that drops the tailgate for 15seconds.
If this does not work, I imagine that one of the struts sensors has failed so it cannot tell the position anymore and only after a long power-down does it reset, so it may need new struts. But might be best to get someone to look at it.

Thank you, I'll try this.
