TD4 150bhp to near SD4 190bhp tuning is finalised and done.

Hopefully you have an appointed agent in this region as well (Malaysia or Singapore), m keen to extract 300bhp from the Si4!

Jos, he will have all the power figures when his tools arrive from me, though you can see in this thread what gains you will get. Regarding warrnaty all I can adivse is that ANY modification to your car could if the dealer so wishes void warranty.

would it be just a case of changing injectors on the TD4 to take it to SD4 mechanical set up?

Just considering in the future i will do this and then double up on the map.

We are still looking into the cost of injectors and also other options so I cant give much more info as yet but in reality yes thats all that weill be needed.

Some tuning made by the French:

150hp > 193hp....

This is the same output as I have produced for the 150bhp converting the car into a 190bhp, nice video

Sorry if I'm missing something. The TD4 is remapped from 150bhp to 190bhp but what is the estimated power output for the SD4?

I have settled around 30bhp but giving upto 80Nm of torque more and upto 100nm is requested in certian places to keep the car feeling very smooth being very carefull NOT to make it to "punchy" and with a "on off" like thorttle responce as this would detract to much from what the car is really about. I have also taken a lot of care to keep the gearbox from chopping and changing gears like a yoyo under load or acceleration.

I have being very carefull to adjust each gears torque limits and torque gain seperatly and according to the safe working limits of the autobox and engine components. Tuning like this does not give the best boastable 0-60 times on paper in the world but it does shave a little from the factory set time, that said the important part is that doing this does keep the car safe, reliable and smooth to drive which was one of the main aims I had when I started the tuning.

I have primarally optimised driveability giving a nice overall gain in power torque making the car altogether nicer to drive everyday.

interesting reading the above about the auto box, presumably the parameters for the TD4 remap would be to use those per the SD4, or even to take the safe limits per the SD4 upgrade, so it would just be injectors limiting the level of fueling available, and not differences in the auto box, or is it geared differently between TD4 and SD4?

sorry for the questions if they sound stupid, just want to be sure when i come to do this i understand it all. Hopefully you'll have a remote system working by then as well, or a partner in south of spain.

From the component investigation ive done so far it only looks like injectors that are/could be different.
