TD4 150bhp to near SD4 190bhp tuning is finalised and done.

I would like to inform anyone who may be interested in the future for tuning that we have finalised our Evoque TD4 150bhp upgrades, taking them as near as mechaniclly possibile to the same output level as the Evoque SD4 190bhp. The maximium power achievable is going to be slightly limited compared to what we originally thought, due what seems like low power injectors fitted on the 150bhp car

The ED4 will follow very soon.

How much would this cost to apply to a td4 then?

Hopefully less than £500 to make it worthwhile doing it this way and not just paying the extra for the td4 in the first place.

What about torque figures?

decent guess at £500 then, do you have to visit your orkshop to get it done ? or is there some "bluefin" type device available?

Yes its a workshop visit job, I dont think the new EDC17 ecus fitted in the Evoque as well as the Discovery 4 and many others will be tunable by OBD port for some time yet. Your only a short trip away from Yok in durham if you decide to have it done.

What improvements can be done on a SD4?

Hi Andy, Final figures should be posted in the next week or so on here and my site. Though a carefully calculated 35bhp and 70-80nm is what im currently using on the developement car.

With that improvement on the sd4 does the mpg change

Hi I've been running 2 cars for a while now and the mpg is the same as it was before, though both are using the extra power and are only doing short trips in towns and built up areas. It's hard to get a feel for long run motor way mpg as the test cars are not doing thus type of travel.

I personally think if the extra power is used sencebily the car will stay the same round town and if I gain is to be had it will only be small and only when combined with a mixture of motorway and town driving.
