Well according to Autocar, there's a new version of the X6 arriving in December so that may explain why the dealer was keen to offload their demonstrator to Chris.

Software updates via inbuilt sim or downloadable to usb stick

Up to 4 bluetooth devices connected at any one time

SatNav has new roads on it.

Concierge service - push button, speak to lady (or gent) and they will answer any question and can even set a destination into your sat nav

A boot that you could fit one of Tim's ships into

An 85 litre diesel tank (gulp!)

And bloody 20" alloys that you have to be very careful with

Autocar and AutoExpress have images of the new X6 this week.

Plus another group test Macan 3.0V6, Evoque SD4 Dynamic (though photos are of a Prestige) and Q5 or x3.

Stupid comparison, but tested anyhow!

Evoque No3: MY15 Dynamic Lux SD4, Auto, Santorini Black, Pimento Dynamic Plus Sports Seats, Ebony headlining, Pan Roof, Shadow Chrome Alloys.

What's it like to drive, my dealer has a black one sitting and though I don't like BMWs I'm drawn to it. I've got a Discovery Sport on order but also contemplating comeing back to the Evoque, I'll wait and see what the better deal is in March.

Very nice thx. Plenty of oomph. Dont think i would come back to an Evoque now.

I see Chris has lost his moderator status, oh the shame...

I should hope the X6 is better than the Evoque. New, depending on spec, there's a £15-20k price difference.

Well, it is with a sad face that, as of this Coming Friday, the Evoque will no longer reside outside my house.

A BMW X6 M50d will sit in its place - i just hope that the 381 bhp and 5.3 0-60 don't land me in too much trouble. I know some of you wont like it but thats why we're all different.

Oh my God...
that would be a little more than 5000 pounds in tax and insurance per year here in Belgium ??
