Skidding sound on corners

Hi

I have a 64 plate Evoque Dynamic auto and sometimes when I go round corners I hear a "skidding" noise from the rear. At first I thought it might be something sliding about in the boot but even after emptying the boot I still hear it occasionally. There doesn't appear to be any pattern to it.

The car still feels stable with no feeling of slipping. I've checked the tyres for signs of scuffing etc and nothing appears to be rubbing under the car.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Welcome waterwiz,

What speed are you driving around these corners when you hear the skidding soundVery Happy
It's just that I have a version in my mind of you drafting around the streets on your way to work.

As for a sensible answer to your question I've not heard anyone else with your issue

hi Doug

I've tried drifting but can't get the technique quite right.

I should have mentioned that it only appears to be coming from the back left.

HI
I am getting same problem, it sounds like wheel spin ,but no traction control l light coming on, normally happens when turning bends or roundabout, junctions, etc.

around 2000 rpm.

again sounds like left rear side. very intermittent can go weeks without hearing it, then it will happen 4/5 times in a day.

wil be contacting dealer Monday. car is 2014 sd pure tech

RE: Skidding sound on corners

We have had the same problem, tried 2 dealers but could to find anything wrong, my Indy suggests it is something to do with the turbo boost surging when there is a demand for more power e.g. on accelerating after slowing down. This has also been discussed on here.
