Shipping time & tracking of ship

Hi

It looks like the demonstrator Evoques that have arrived in NSW took approx 6 weeks to arrive on our shores.

I used a VIN of an Evoque which is on Carsales.com to checkup how long it had taken. As posted on another thread on this site, you can use the following site to track the status of shipment. http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp and then you can use the vessel name from the result to track its position at http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/

curious - I just tracked and checked my VIN on the above website, they have 2 results for my VIN and one says returned to sender, does anyone know why this is?

There is another Oz thread regarding deliveries, and one of our members had a similar message, I sure it worked out better than the message implies.

I also have records for my VIN. My dealer said what sometimes happens is that the the vessel may become too heavy so they have to reschedule the vehicle for the next shipment. I am guessing you're about to get yours in the next few days?

Yes, mine should be with me in the next 5 days max!

I thought, they found it defected or something was wrong with it, and thats why they had to send it back.. maybe damaged when loading etc.

I've tried to use the link to track the shipment using my VIN Number, but everytime I get "No records found"; does somebody know if JLR uses a different company for the shipments to Southern Europe destinations? Maybe they use Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics only for (Over)Overseas (I mean Australia, Canada and so on - I know that in UK Continental Europe is already defined Overseas...)

I also get ''No records found''. Has anyone worked out whether their is a pattern as to when one can expect to see it come up on 2wglobal.com ?
For instance....on the vista printout,it also shows a ''Factory Complete Date'',which in my case is 18/01/12, and i was wondering if this date is when it will get shipped out,and thus come on screen of the shipping site.

Benzina, according to topix what's your build date? I think yours will appear on the tracking website fairly soon if it's expected to arrive end of feb. next week or so it should leave the uk. So early next week I reckon it'll be up on the tracking website.

Chiggy, my build date on Topix is 21/12/2011 (same as Vista printout). But whats that factory complete date 18/01/2012 ? Shipping out maybe? I expect it to be as well.
