Great you are getting it sorted without your cost, but April-August...!

Thanks for getting back, as it may help others avoid this if they have the same issue.

Fortunately mine went ok, for excruciating cost... given that Volvo do updates for free (using same map supplier), just download from Volvo and install, makes LR look very 70's.

Finally have an evoque thats fixed with a working sat nav,bluetooth,tv and cams...just a word of warning guys when buying a usb satnav update BEWARE things can go wrong....

Good News Fodo8, still can't believe it took till August! You really shouldn't be able to brick the unit from an update.. but seems you've proved otherwise.

Yes...three hours at the main dealers one new unit and all is fine. The old unit has been sent back to the manufacturer as its the first time they have seen this happen with the usb
