Sat Nav Question

Hi there my wife had taken my 3 day old evoque out today on a work visit.

She just txt me to say the Sat Nav would not accept letters when typing in the postcode?

I have yet to use the sat Nav so it may be something straight forward but if anyone has any ideas that would be great!

RE: Sat Nav Question

It should do.
I assume the input chain being made is:-
Dest Entry - Postcode

There is no need on this system to input the space between the first and second parts of the postcode.

Pure 3dr SD4 Tech Man ; Firenze Red ; 19" Style 3 ; Pano ; Ebony / Ivory Int ; Auto dim rear view ; 2 seats ; Park Aid - Rear cam ; Ext. folding mirrors ; Adap Xenon ; Fogs ; Mud Flaps ; Side Steps - Rec'd 28/12/11 - Sadly going 6/6/14 - Gone, now running BMW X6

RE: Sat Nav Question

I know it only accepts valid entries so if the letter does not exisit or is not in the database then the letter on the keyboard will be shaded and cannot be pressed.

The only reason I can think that it may not accept any letter entries is if your not set to the 'UK' search, maybe US?

If it's a resistive touchscreen (which I think it is), this shouldn't matter.... (but good lateral thinking!)

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).

Hope you were wearing more than just one glove Laughing

Only the letters than can be found in the database are accepted, so trying to find something not in the database means the letters get greyed out. I was trying to input "Sharps Lane" except I had thought it was "Sharpes", so after the e the "s" was greyed out.
