The stop/start battery would always recharge on a 15 mile drive into town when the system was used and then for 3 months I wouldn’t see the message again. I work away from the UK for 3-4 months at a time and it seems that the stop/start battery drains much more quickly than the main one which I used to trickle charge via a small solar panel trickle charger on the dash top when the car wasn’t being used for long periods.
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
