Roof bars

Hi all
Picking up my first Evoque on Wednesday.
My current FL2 has a detachable witter towbar, that I only use for attaching a bike rack.
Does the Evoque pure need the rear bumper cutting or can a tow bar just be bolted on?
What are the options for rood bars? I don't have roof rails on my pure.
