Reversing camera not working

Hi All,

Just collected my new Colima Lime Pure Evoque, but was surprised that the reversing camera is not working. When we put the car in reverse, we just see the parking sensor display, not the camera image.

The dealer checked the car by doing a computer diagnostic, but there was no error being reported, the camera system was reported as being OK.

They will need more time to investigate....

Anyone had such an issue?

There is another issue, when pressing on one side of the front bumper, there is a squicking noise - nothing major, but not too reassuring about build quaility..

Seriously - Have you checked that the PDI guys removed the transportation protection from the lens while doing the PDI?

No, but can they be so.... ###%#^# not to know that they can check this?!

Are you sure you actually have a camera? what you are describing is what you see when you haven't specified a rear camera. It is an option on the Pure.

Could it be something sooooo obvious?

The spec. Says it has the camera as added option, and they say the computer checks the camera and reports as it exists and has no errors....

Have a look at the back of the car just above the number plate to the right as you look at it, you should see it, if it has been fitted that is

I don't have an active subscription at the moment, but there is a service message on topix:
SSM56037 - Rear Camera Fault
No idea if it's relevant, but get your dealer to look at that.

Worth taking a look to see if it is actually there...
