Rear Entertainment USB

Hi All
I have the DVD Rear Entertainment Option
Im not sure if im doing something wrong here but I am having trouble with controlling a USB from the rear input.

If i have a USB inserted into the rear input is there any way to control it from the front main touch screen?

Also, it seems that if i put the usb in the front input there is no way that the rear dvd's can view it??

Please help, its driving me crazy trying to work it out.

Unfortunately, the only thing you can really control from the front to be displayed on the back is a physical DVD. The USB port in the armrest will only work on the head unit, and the USB port in the rear will only work on the rear displays. The only way to access material on the rear USB is through the wireless remote, and you need to be sitting in the back to use it as it is IR based.

In mine, my eldest ends up watching movies ripped to a USB SSD because she can understand the remote, but I need to shuffle DVDs in and out of the head unit for my son that is only 3 years old. It is not the most ideal situation, but it works.
