Range Rover Evoque ESC and Crash Test 2011

Please look away if you do not want to see the crash test, but if you do, you'll be glad to know it got European NCAP 5 stars:



Also, worth to see the ESC tests:


Got mine : Dynamic Fuji White with Lux Pack and black contrast roof.
Optional extras : Privacy glass, Heated steering wheel and TPMS.

have they done any testing with the pano roof?? looking at the flex in the roof on both the side and front impact I can't imagine that it'll remain intact........

I don't think the crash test entangles cars with modifications. I do agree that they should do the test with the panoramic roofs as well, rather than LR own tests.

The car comes out pretty impressively, only the sharp side impact really gets into the cabin. I agree that they should test one with a panoramic roof given that there are so many out there, though. The 'tin' roof really is flimsy, it almost has a wave running through it one shot. I imagine the panoramic roof would behave very much as the windscreen did (in the side impacts shot), unless it popped out altogether. Either way, I can't see it adding to the risk to passengers.

I think we should add the crash tests of the panoramic roof to Olde's List of Suggested Improvements..
