RED ALUMINUM PADDLE SHIFTERS

For those trying to remove the original cap try heating it with a hair dryer first to soften the industrial sticky pad, once you have levered it up a bit slide some nylon fishing line under the cap and "cut" the pad off like a cheese wire, applying some more heat from the hair dryer if the sticky pad starts to harden

Have you tried that Tim? I really want to keep the piano black look, but the switch is too hot to touch in the california summers

Any pictures of the shifter off?

You can go with the F-Type bronze paddles that are less expensive but they aren't as tall as the red ones and they aren't aluminum.

Very easy to install. There's a hex screw behind the paddles that you remove then the paddle is then easily removed. Disconnect the wiring connector and reconnect the new one and that's it.

As you can see the Jag and Evoque paddles looks the same (my Evoque left/my XKR right) and so the F-Type bronze paddles will also work on the Evoque. The hole behind the paddle is where you remove the hex screw.

Tim at Duckworth Parts has them listed for 255, dont know if that helps

I replaced the shift knob this morning, but have a little issue. When I retracts to the down position it groans a little. When I put the oem back it doesn't groan. Anyone else have this issue?
