My new 2014 RRE with new wheels and side tubes.

I just picked this up about a week ago and and just got done putting the side tubes, mudflaps, and new wheels & tires on her. I think the 275/45-20 size tire is perfect, it really fills it out nicely. I'm still waiting on the arrival of my roof rails.

Very nice and looks very classy with those wheels and the side tubs, would love to put some on my car some time.

Probably not cool to ask, but what are side tubes?

Tubes designed to protect the sills when you go off road. They are usually chromed too which then looks awful if you do use them offroad and they get scratched and dinged. They are usually unbelievably heavy and stop you fitting a jack in the event of having to do a roadside tyre change as they obstruct the jacking points unless you carry a trolley jack around with you. Unfortunately I cannot see Oldsock's photo as my work ISP blocks links to photo sharing websites

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
