Q363 - RFA SOFTWARE UPDATE

Just Noticed on topix I have this as a outstanding campaign any one had this done and know what its for ?

Yes, it's for the smart entry/start not recognising the key.

A software update for the keyless vehicle module.

Had this update done yesterday.Peterborough Landrover was very busy with new car's going out.

So Barton,

What have you noticed from the update?

I mean has it cured anything?

If not did they tell you why there is an update?

It just seems odd to need it if your car doesn't have any problems recognising the key. I'm reluctant.

I wonder if this a security update - rather than fixing a problem of non-identification, it might be a security hole?
I only say that because I've read an increasing number of 'theft' reports (moreso of RRS's and FFRR's) where the keys are being cloned... perhaps a flaw has been found?
I might just be scaremongering though!

Not notice any difference but he did say if fixed a security issue.also lost my alarm bleep but soon put that back by going though the menu settings.

I think Topix is down? I get unexpected error... can anyone access it?

Just tried works ok for me.

Thanks Barton, accesses fine now, nothing showing for mine, but then I don't have keyless entry
