Pure, Prestige and dynamic - difference?

Hi guys.

Great forum.

I am based in london and really like the look of the evoque and am interested in getting one but not sure which one?
I currently have a company car (focus econetic) and my personal car is an e46 m3.
I love the m3 but with my wife having another baby on the way im thinking of selling it privately or trade it in on a range rover.
I still have not taken a test drive on one yet but all the reports seem great.
I like the look of the sd4 4wd diesel 5 door 190 bhp version in the pure.

But there seems to be that same version in the prestige and dynamic but they are more expensive.
Are there any big cosmetic changes through the changes?
And what is included in the £1900 tech pac?
Are 5 year warranties available?
Is the glass roof an option?
Are the xenon led lights not standard?
Are they reliable so far?

I am only interested in the five door diesel and the 190bhp seems quick enough but i would love your thoughts
On these different models and possibly pictures to show any differences in design.

Thanks guys

Crikey Skill whilst I can answer most of the above it'd take all day!!

A lot of your answers re spec can be found on the LR website/configurater, but your best bet is to use the search facility above. I use it all the time...just put a word or phrase in and it will throw up all the threads or posts you need.

FWIW I had a Pure Tech 5door SD4 on order originally but switched to a Prestige after seeing them in the flesh. However the Pure is a fantastic car, and you cant go wrong with any of the models.

There are loads of photos on here as well.

Good luck.

Arrived 16th December 2011: 5 door Prestige SD4 auto in Barolo black with ambience interior, pano roof, privacy and 20" style 6 alloys.Very Happy

One sure fire way to get quick answers is to nip into the Evoque configurator on the evoque website. In no time you'll be down to some of the more subtle differences which have been discussed on the forum. Happy configurating!

Thanks guys.
But what are your views?
What options did you go for and why?
Is the pure the entry level and wont hold resale value?

RE: Pure, Prestige and dynamic - difference?

Hi and welcome to the forum. The advice you've been given above is the best advice but in terms of spec and model I think that the Pure is undeniably the best value Evoque; that is as long as you don't spec it to prestige levels because then you've just got a well spec'd Pure. To me the Dynamic looks best from the outside and comes as standard with Magnaride adaptive drive, which is good if you like a comfortable ride and 20" inch wheels and the Prestige the best from the inside (both in standard guises) and as I think the Prestige is still a looker the interior has it for me but its a very personal taste. I don't think you'll go wrong but one thing I wouldn't rule out if you are pushing the boat out is the SI4. It's a bit thirsty but if you live in London I doubt it will be hugely different to the diesel.

Enjoy the rest of your time on the Forum. YT

Remember if you live in London and don't do long distances you will have DPF issues
To be honest the best way to get your answers is to visit the LRWebsite, configuration and search here. I guarantee you will find everything you need.
Cheers

RE: Pure, Prestige and dynamic - difference?

Just checked out the configurer...the specs are so annoying!
When i upgraded the pure version it ended up being a prestige!
And i originally wanted a black version with red interior but the red is only on the dynamic!
There was things there that i thought was standard but is obviously an add on!
Paying for your choice of colour!
I will have to have another review as its turning into a money pit.!
What are the best standard features?

Thanks
The thing that will influence my decision the most is the resale valve.
I like the pure, but i might have to stretch alittle for the prestige.

Snap! I've been through the same loop and drawn the same conclusion - by the time you have spec'd a Pure with the 'right' toys you might as well have got a Prestige. To be fair the Prestige will have a better residual value than a Pure with a stack of options because it's the base vehicle (plus transmission type) the trade price guides list. I have Personal Contract Purchase quotes for a loaded manual SD4 Pure with both the Style and Tech Packs, Xenons, Int mirror, metallic paint and a spare wheel and its only £9 a month cheaper than a Prestige with just the Int mirror and spare wheel as options. The projected future value of the loaded Pure is £2.5k less too.

I've found the best sources of detail as to what's on each derivative is use the price list Evoque Price list - link to the LR PDF
