RE: Proper competition - Porsche Macan

I think it looks like an overweight 911 myself. Definetly not for me.
Personally I would rather have a quick ish SUV and a second fast sportscar for fun.
Don't see the need for a fast SUV, as it would be compromising in all sorts of ways.

I think Jeremey Clarkson said something similar about the Cayenne being "a pointless car".

Ordered 17/2/12 Dynamic SD4 Auto 5dr, Mauritius Blue, Pan roof, 20" style 6 (gloss black), Vortex, Ebony Headlining, Ent Pack, Heated St. Wheel, Homelink, Pr Glass, Auto Dim r.view mirror, spare wheel

Personally I don't think LR have much to worry about, the cayenne has hardly taken alot of sales from the FFRR and with looks as bad as that then the evoque will still be a winner.

If this is what it's going to look like in the metal, two things strike me. The first is how ugly it now is and the second is just how far away it is from Porches concept of the Cajun. I was considering this as a possible replacement but on this showing there's no chance of that happening..........still fancy the FFRR.

Arrived. Prestige SD4 Auto 5DR OG September 11

I bet it does more mpg than an evoque though, some 911's do more mpg than the bloody evoque in real life.

I hadn't seen those pics - what a disappointment. I was hoping this might be my next car after the Evoque but that's seriously ugly.

My initial thought is that it looks like a pumped up Astra.
