RE: Project Kahn - RS Platinum wheels.
Yeah,
I got a quote online from a wheel specialist - think it might've been AMGAustralia.
$936 each.
That doesn't include the tyres.
Still need to add balancing + shipping costs.
Probably looking at $4.5k - $5k all up.
Could always bargain it down - I'm thinking $4k is the most I'd definitely pay including tires.
Any recommendations on tyres? Pirelli? Michelin? Bridgestone?
I know they come in 20" and also in 22".
I only want these cause well.. everyone is going to have the style 6 20" and I want something different.

RE: Project Kahn - RS Platinum wheels.
michelin, pirelli and the conti are better options and they are comfortable with the lower profile tyres. I am currently using the michelin for my cayenne with tyre profile of 22/295/30 and they are not noisy at all adn most importantly they are comfortable. Don't try goodyear and kumho.. both are very noisy in high speed. should try tempe tyres sydney as their price is quite cheap and alot variety of tyres...alot of stock as well.
Finally: white 5door evouqe dynamic lux pack with ebony interior and ivory headlining.
current: 2010 cayenne gts, white evoque dynamic

I think they're too busy. and the mesh spokes are really thick. Not bad but there are a lot of better options in my opinion.
I'm going to be putting 22s on in the summer. Maybe forgestar F14 in gunmetal.

Same thing, 22's for me.. I would like the same style '6' just larger..
dead_evil17 - talked to tempe already, they are really cheap.. and have a lot of range rover style wheels.. Its just the fitment.. Cheers for the tyre info..

RE: Project Kahn - RS Platinum wheels.
I think Tempe Tyres have Replica Wheels?
I found the same RS Platinum Wheels except for the part it doesnt say Kahn on the alloy.
However saying that - not many in Aus know who or what Kahn is.
I'm totally happy with the replica's! If they are only $200 cheaper... then not happy with the replicas... but if close to half the price? VERY happy with the replicas.

RE: Project Kahn - RS Platinum wheels.
I would be very careful buying replica wheels, they are often very heavy, and very weak affecting both steering, and likely to buckle, crack at the look of a pot hole never mind hitting one. They are often finished badly with the laquer peeling very early doors leaving them open to pitting etc.
Friend had bitter experience of this with some replica Audi RS6 Alloys on his A4.
There is a reason why original wheels are so expensive, so keep it in mind.
If you are going for 22"s I would make sure the weight is equal to or less than your current wheel, to maintain steering geomtertry and unsprung weight, and not add any extra stresses/wear to drive shaft and suspension components.
Personally like the black ones on the Revere Evoque.

Project Kahn - RS Platinum wheels.
Hmmm agreed on the replica wheels. Originals are what I'm going to go for. Never took into account the poor quality.
That's a bloody decent price for Kahn wheels! Very nice wheels!!
Just don't want black wheels. I feel my car might look a bit not so classy.
