Plastidip on RANGE ROVER logo

Was just reading the other Plastidip thread for wheels and did a search and found this...

Looks like a great way to change the colour of the RANGE ROVER logo without having to reinstall letters...

RE: Plastidip on RANGE ROVER logo

I did read about a guy who sprayed a complete MX5 in mat back plastidip Shocked
My only concerns are how long will it last against a pressure washer (not long I feel Very Happy)
But for trim bits, it's ideal. If it starts to peel away after a few months, just peel it off & reapply.

RE: Plastidip on RANGE ROVER logo

I just read a post in another forum where a bloke has done some tests with coating various items and then burnt it with a match, scrubbed it with a scourer and pressed his finger into it hard for 10s.

check it out here

Plastidip on RANGE ROVER logo

I don't know anyone who would spray it to a raw plastic bumper, most of us have paint already on it. It's safe to spray onto primer though. I saw a video by dipyourcar on youtube about this very subject

It's great product, been using it for years to de-chrome Mini's - almost idiot proof, with great results.

RE: Plastidip on RANGE ROVER logo

I'm amazed at how it peels off from the paint without pulling off from the badge itself - how does that work? Is it because the gap creates a thin section of plastidip or does the gap remain between the badge and the paint?

Ha ha.

Didn't see your reply here.

Said something similar on the wheels coating thread.

WB there is a gap between the badge and the body when they sprayed it. I know someone from the CL that did it. It takes a lot of time to peel it off.

RE: Plastidip on RANGE ROVER logo

Plastidip works great. I bought my plastidip at Home Depot in the states. Wasn't expensive at all! I plastidipped a few items on my car as seen on the Facebook page PUREEVOQUE - they give a screen by screen demo there - and I've been to the carwash many times with no issues to date. It is truly idiot proof. I've had it on for at least 6 months and no chipping yet. I hope to do my wheels next.
