I've gone for a 'stealth' dynamic - black, black headlining, black/red interior. I'm worried the pan roof will make it all feel a bit tacky...?

I agree with the comments from blackseries.

Plus in addition to that you're worried that it's tacky. You've gone for an all black car with red/black leather interior. The pan roof is th least of your worries.

Not knocking ur options. It's just that I had a black rx8 with red/black leather too. And all the first impressions were either. Pimp mobile or a bit tacky!!

RE: Panoramic Roof

I have ordered the pan roof on mine but after reading some comments due you think if you were involved on an accident, say side on, this could compromise the cars strength or do cars with this fitted have additional strengthening materials fitted ? Any comments welcome from any of the guys in the know that might work there! I am only concerned as were buying this to accommodate my wife and baby son!

I'd like to believe the pillars are heavily re-inforced on. I'm pretty sure if the car flips over, passenger will be fine if they have their seatbelts on. I'm still yet to see the real thing, panoramic roof is a must.

Would imagine it would be as safe as a solid roof. Vehicles must pass a very strict safety build before allowed on the road

Chatted to a designer at Evoque Live and he said a lot of thought had gone into the pan roof and it's very very safe. Sat in both coupes (one with, one without) and would not buy a coupe without it. Worth every penny. The electric blind was great and you can stop it halfway so can close it on sleeping kids in the back. Once closed it was seamless.

Someone posted in the NEC thread that it could be stopped anywhere along it's path.
