RE: Paint Flaw

Dealer responded immediately to my email and I'm taking it in to sort rattles and show the paint issue. I can't get the car to them until Friday so will update then.

Out of interest how big is that paint flaw? Size of a 5p, 10p etc?

Thanks

Interesting picture, but I can see shading as outlined below. This might just be a JPEG compression artifact but I'm wondering if this is what the paint looks like. Also, there's some sort of scuff the other side of the panel gap. Taken close up, doesn't look good...

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR

RE: Paint Flaw

Good news for all, sorry if I've been a bit alarmist but this should have been spotted at the factory and the dealers.

The mark has been removed, it was easily done at the dealers and appears to be something spilt or dropped onto the paint. I didn't want to scratch it off without them present in case I inflicted some damage.

So in summary, the mark was there and shouldn't have been. It's been removed and the paint underneath is fine. Dealers - Shukers were very helpful as usual.

mark_n, the lines/shadow you have highlighted is my reflection, it was difficult to find the right angle to photograph. The marks on the door edge were polish remnants that again shouldn't have been there but were.

On a lighter note I went past the factory today and saw a few coralimas, ipanemas and 1 Mauritius and they all looked great - nearly as good as the FRed (oh yes and several hundred whites Wink)

Great news Acwats, I guessing you didn't manage to take a picture of the Mauritius Blue.

No sorry I didn't have my camera and it was at the far end of the compound so I wasn't very close to it
