I have responded and also asked for 3 cosmetic accessories as well as the warranty and they have said its either one or the other. The accessories were the carbon fibre trims. So I am undecided what to do at this point!
If I took the carbon parts I'd probably look to flick them for about 1500pounds. That's the bonnet vents, side vents and mirror caps.

The carbon parts might look like they're worth more in theory but I'm not sure they'd actually sell for anywhere near that when those parts could be carbon vinyl wrapped for very little money.

IMO you might want to consider asking for the price of the parts as a "cash" refund or alternatively consider rejecting the car.

The parts aren't even in Aussie dealer spare parts list yet so I'm not sure what they're even worth here, let alone the actual true cost to LR for them Smile

I know I'm going to sound like a pushy Yank, but I would I would tell them to eat that car; put a proper one on expedited order (or do a country-wide dealer search); and supply you with a loaner until your car arrives. If this damage was done at the factory (aside from the fact that it should never have left), they should have no problem with this -- if it got banged up in transit and this is their (or the distributor's) best effort at hiding it...

Of course, they could also send the car to a real paint shop, one that processes many cars and is great at paint. My big Range (bought new in 2003) is being retired for my new Evoque. During its life span in So. California its been hit three times and the commercial shop (that specializes only in accident repair) fixed it each time and the car looks as good as new.

Good luck and keep us posted. I mentioned your car to my dealer the other day and they were horrified to hear of touch up paint repairs on a brand new car. They said damage does occasionally occur but should be repaired correctly not bodged!!

Go for it.
Those defects are simply ridiculous. Had that have been a loaner or demo car AFTER use, OK, but on an off the floor new vehicle? That's just BS.
It's not a bloody Holden after all !
