Order in - surprised at the lack of extras

I've ordered my auto Dynamic coupe in Sumatra black with the following extras:

Keyless entry
Privacy glass
Spare wheel

Been told my delivery date is 3rd Sept. My current car is a 2008 1.6 Volvo S40, so it can't come quick enough!

I really couldn't see any other extras that were of any use! Power tailgate, park assist, surround cameras etc etc all seemed like a fairly pointless waste of money and the sort of toys that I'd very rarely get any use from.

The only other one I considered were the premium mats, but as the dealer couldn't explain to me why they were premium, I saved my £80.

Premium Mats are just higher quality "woollen" mats with leather binding around them. The best mats you can get for any land Rover are the heavy duty rubber ones that have really high raised edges and the aluminium corner trims - they keep the other carpets totally dry when it snows as they have a huge capacity for trapping water. They also save the mud that falls off your wellies after a day out on the grouse moors shooting from spoiling the floor too

How do you know this when my dealer doesn't? Are they worth buying?

Your dealer's lack of product knowledge doesn't surprise me; SHAME ON THEM! I guess Tim knows what they are as he is a long term Range Rover owner.

Basically the depth of the pile of the carpet and the thickness of the rubber backing. Either is very nice to have but not IMHO worth paying extra for the "premium" when a good rubber set is more practical

That's a very early delivery date, have you had your deposit in for a very long time?, or did they mean Sept 2012

£2k deposit paid Sept 2010, another £2k paid on 6 April and was told last week Im in the first build and delivery is due 3rd Sept 2011.

Fantastic, just turning a nice shade of green! I've only had my deposit in for a couple of months and my order shows a delivery date of the 31st December. Even that's just a very rough guestimate tho!

I think it may be because I've ordered an Si4 Dynamic? Sure I've read they're first to be built.

Yes, they are one of the first builds - full list shown in the 'Derivative Availability / Staged release' thread. Also helps of course that you must have been one of the very earliest to pay your deposit.
