Yes, for the parts £948......

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: OUCH............ I've broken the tailgate - resized photos

Got my white beauty back last Friday all shiney and clean................... today I needed to remove the parcel shelf and find that there has been a redesign of the two little clips that the strings that lift the shelf and are now like flathead screws and not the little nipple things that the early cars came with. Problem for me is that some smart fitter couldn't get the eye in the end of the string over the screwhead bit and has unscrewed it, put the screws shaft though the eye and then screwed it back up......................... so I have a trip to the dealership tomorrow to see how they intend to fix the problem. In the end the total cost of that bash was £1600.........................

Good you've got it back Tim, a pain but those sorts of bits always seem to get through repairers work, and it cost only slightly more than having 2 keys stolen... Shocked

RE: OUCH............ I've broken the tailgate - resized photos

Called into Morrison's Land Rover at Bannockburn this morning for the low down on the tailgate strings. When they did the repair they found the same issue as I found, contacted LR who wouldn't believe their findings so the Bodyshop guys photographed the old tailgate with the nipple like hooks and the new one with the redesigned system and sent them back to the factory........... It appears that nobody in the factory was aware that there are new redesigned hooks on the tailgate and even the spares/parts lists only show the new hook. Anyway old style hooks are now "on back order at the factory" and I should have a set by the end of the month! At least fitting them is easy, they only press into place.
