Nottingham Unleashed

Any one else going to the Nottingham Unleashed this week ?
First showing is on Wednesday (12:45 for me). 7hour round trip, but without driving the streets of London, this was the nearest one for me.

Most things have been covered by now, but if any one has any questions for LR or things to try out on the cars let me know.
It will be the same cars as the other Unleashed shows had.

Doug, plse get photo of cubbyhole and dimensions if you can. Plenty photos of center console storage going around but I'd really like to know if the 11" MacBook Air will fit in the cubbyhole.

Current: SD4 Dynamic Auto, 5 Door, Orkney Grey with Black Contrast Pano roof and 20" Shadow Chrome wheels. Pursuit interior. [countdown="Hand over"]15th June 2013 2:00pm[/countdown]

RE: Nottingham Unleashed

What do you mean by cubbyhole Berlin? Glovebox, the boot "secret" compartment or the door pockets. I doubt that an iPad would fit in the centre cubby box let alone a MacBookAir 11" - I have both iPad and Macbook Air 13" and neither fit happily in either the glove box or the centre cubby of my FFRR so no hope in an RRE. If I have to hide them in the FFRR then I put them under the rear bench seat in one of the recesses

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Glove box. Was hoping it'll fit - always 'fun' finding the best spot to hide these things from prying eyes.

How deep the door pockets? Will iPad stuck in one of them be visible above the side supports of the seat? Favourite spot in my current ride for stashing the iPad.

RE: Nottingham Unleashed

Would be interested on your thoughts on the ride quality with the 20" wheels without AD's. There have been a couple who have said ride was ok be interested in your assessment.

Thanks

Arrived 16th December 2011: 5 door Prestige SD4 auto in Barolo black with ambience interior, pano roof, privacy and 20" style 6 alloys.Very Happy

RE: Nottingham Unleashed

Berlin, I'm not sure if the rear seats fold the usual LR way, but if they do then on my RRS's and the FFRR there is a lovely big hidey hole
underneath the rear bench - on the RRS's these places under the rear seats were big enough to keep 20m of synthetic winch rope as a towing line, several large shackles wrapped in bubble pack, 2 x 8m nylon strops and 2 x 3m nylon strops.................... should be big enough for a macbook Air 11"

RE: Nottingham Unleashed

The RRE rear seats simply fold down - there is no hiddy-hole underneath.
There is a small amount of stowage space under the rear boot floor. Mostly going to be filled with Puncture repair outfit and a couple of tools for me.

You must both wear pink carnations and carry a copy of the Times under your left arm. When you shake hands, say beebeearar and wink twice. That should be enough to differentiate you from any riff raff attending !!!
