New Site User/ New Evoque Order

Hello everyone, nice meeting you all, what a fantastic site this is and what an amazing 'car' the Evoque is! I fell in love, the moment i saw one! I'm due to place an order this Saturday for delivery in June next year and wondered if any of you had any feedback on my spec, is there anything you think I'm missing?

Dynamic Coupe Si4 Auto. (I currently drive an Audi A5 2.0T. The performance of the Evoque really impressed me and putting it into Sport / Dynamic mode really made me smile! I've never felt like that in my Audi.)

Provisionally Orkney Grey but I actually want the darker grey, is it Stormwind..? (I toyed with White but decided against it, thinking it may become too 'common'. Everyone seems to be ordering it. No offence Smile )

825 Watt Meridian Surround Sound -> Provisional until I hear the difference £1k makes! The dealers are going to sort out a demo for me at the weekend. Is it worth it, I wonder..

Park Assist
Surround Camera system - (In the real world how often do people use these?)
Powered Electrical Tailgate
Privacy Glass.
Panoramic Roof
20" sparkle silver alloy wheels - style 6

I would love to add the TPMS but having paid only £80 or thereabouts for it on my Audi, I just can't bring justify shelling out £405. I guess you could argue I don't need Park Assist or Surround Cameras but they're just sooo cool, I gotta have ! Smile

Oh, quick question can you watch a DVD whilst the car is moving or does the picture cut-out once you get above a certain speed? (Like the Audi)

Many thanks everyone! Very Happy
Phil.

Hello and welcome, good choice with the Si4 as that's what I've gone for.

Surround cams are great and useful if you remember you've got them if that makes sense. On our D4 we have used them off road and frequently when parking.

As for the DVD question any video source (disc, USB, iPod, tv) will play on the move using the dual view function which comes in the Lux pack.

Hi rsk21, you are a star ! You just saved me some money, i stupidly spec'd the parts individually. The Lux pack gives me all i want plus a bit more for a virtually same price! Thank you. Surprised

I'd add the TPMS and Heated Steering Wheel as both are great additions on the RRE.

Wish they would do a a 'cooled' steering wheel, would be nice to get in the car in summer and not burn my hands.
