Yep, back in Oz, but off to Melbourne on thursday for a couple of days.
2pm at PK... I wonder how long they unload etc for after docking? I assume that it's an efficient operation...

I'm hoping for a delivery date of closer to 2 weeks vs 3 weeks How long can it take to get a car ready, really? Especially as I don't have any deliver fit options. Surely they want their money vs having the car sit idle...

The wait is SOOOOOOOO worth it guys. I followed my vessel (Hoegh Trident) on marinetraffic as well and was really quite miffed (being polite here) to see it sailing up and down past East London for 5 days? Turns out there was a wind issue. I agree with Titan though - get in touch with the ports authorities. Our guys in East London and Durban were most helpful. My baby was unloaded in Durban on 19 July, got fitted with a tracker, and was in Cape Town on the 25th of July already. I took delivery on the 26th Why 2 to 3 weeks? That's a bloody killer!

After unloading the car is transported to Sydney I think in campbelltown/Minto where the holding yard is for customs and compliance badging. Heard it takes around 2 weeks for this process. The dealer prob want another week to detail and register the car b4 customer pickup. Yes, I would love to pick up the car on the 9 Aug to take it to the snow but it's way too hopeful and prob won't happen. I'm counting down to around 15 Aug for pickup.
