I don't find it a problem fortunately but can see how it could be annoying esp as I do a lot of dark lanes. It has been mentioned by passengers though.

Havent found the dial dimming control as hadnt looked for it... where is it?

RE: Main LCD too bright

the screen saver would probably be dimmer but i cant figure how to put it on either manually or after a delay. the manual just seems to tell how to choose the one you want but not how to activate it. the dimming dial really doesnt reduce the brightness for me that much at all.

Don't you have an on/off hard-button bottom left of the display, that activates the screensaver?

Duh! I just thought that turned off the screen. Never ever pressed it. Makes sense the screen saver comes on. Will try first thing in the A.M.

THANKS !

Hey, there is a lot to learn on these things. If you figure out how to use the Nav, please let me know, I'm still struggling with that one... Confused

RE: Main LCD too bright

olde, I've found after entering your destination and it appearing on the map view you have to select "destination" on the final screen to make it actually direct to the entered location, seems an unneccesary step!?
