MY12 Evoque Coupe Seat Motor Upgrade

i know everyone with a 2012 Evoque coupe has this problem but has anyone actually had it sorted? I've got a little one on the way and I'm dreading putting a car seat in and out of the back with as slow as it is now! any suggestions?>

I know when I asked when the MY13 came out if I could have the motors from that. The dealer said that he would come back to me on a price, but believed it was different motors, a different switch and different runners.

I never followed it up, but if I were so inclined, this would be the route I would go.

Did you have to change the switch-gear and the runners too? As my dealer was guessing, but it's definitely something I want to do.

That would be an interesting mod. I can't see why the switch gear is different though?

Same here, Steve. I would imagine it would involve the change of motor only and possibly the runners, but the switch gear?? Is it really any surprise to hear an LR dealer exaggerate the difficulty of a job? To be fair though, most dealers regardless of marque are prone to embellishment when it comes to this kind of thing.

Actually, I would have thought the gearing would be different on the runners so there may be more too it than just the motors?

DustinDep. Dealer did it. I'll try and find the bill to find out what they replaced!

Yes please do if so i might do it myself and do a youtube tube how to video. Also what was the dealer cost?
