Your lucky, my TD4 over the first 250kms was getting 12.2l/100km which is about 23-24mpg Shocked.

I will reset my trip computer and see if there is any improvement over the next 250kms or so, otherwise will need to speak to the dealer, as it is way too low. Especially as for 200kms i was sat at 110kms on cruise control on the motorwaySad.

RE: MPG in real life >> eD4

You won't see any improvement to your fuel consumption until at least 3000 miles (approx 4500/5000kms) has been reached and the engine has started to bed in. I'm getting 38-40mpg (8-9l/100kms?) after 3800 miles with very little city driving, I'm still disappointed with the fuel consumption but I'll wait until the 1st 7-8000 miles has gone passed before I start complaining to LR/a dealership. I'm a pretty laid back driver not into wheelspinning take-offs or rapid speeding away then braking hard for a corner and use the cruise whenever possible (although cruise conrol is not an economy device, is a comfort aid). BTW mine is a 190bhp SD4 auto rather than an ed4

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: MPG in real life >> eD4

I've got 28 mpg from the first 2,300 miles from my SD4 which is a little disappointing...I used to get 23mpg from my FFRR so not currently seeing the gains I expected.

I am currently getting just over 30mpg from my td4 on my 10 mile journey to work, but then it about -15c here so mpg is sufffering from all the electrical drain from heated seats, windows etc and no sign of any stop start since i left the warmth of uk a week ago
