Keeping DRL on while turn signal is on - reprogramming?

a blinking turn signal disables DRL on its side (I believe it's only the case when low beam is off and in the US or NA market). This looks not very attractive and really silly. In my previous AUDI I had the same 'feature' disabled. Does anyone know if it can be disabled/reprogrammed in the RRE?

Yeah I want to know the same thing.

Kinda looks like one side of the car works and the other doesn't. looks weird.

You can always have the DRL disabled. I plan to have this done by the dealer, along with disabling the automatic folding mirror "feature" on lock.

Jackmac, I actually like the DRL on but all the time. If your dealer has some knowledge of keeping them on while the turn signal is on please pass back the info onto us. Thx in advance

I will ask, but have doubts that they can support "always on" DRL. It may be a DoT thing built into the US software.

Quick update - decided not to disable these features and will live with the wonky light blinking and automated mirror folding for now.

Also same in Europe... I'm not a fan of the dimming DRL But it doesn't bother me, I notice Audi's doing this too, and also notice the new KIA Sportage doesn't dim the DRL.

It's an easy procedure to disable this on AUDIs. I hoped it could also be done on RREs
