seam on rear wheel panel

I noticed a "seam" on the rear wheel panels of my Evoque coupe.
See attachments of pictures I found on the net

Does somebody know if this is normal or what the purpose of it is ?

Greetings,
Fritzy.

A join where the body panels meet?

Totally normal on all Evoques.

Somewhere in the North Sea.

It looks like they used maskingtape to spray the paint.

Why isn't that smooth ?
And that for LandRover !? Rolling Eyes

I totally agree with you Fritzy.

It looks like a leftover from the moulding process. This should be finished properly before painting. On mine, the line you're talking about shows through darker on one side, has less paint covering it.

It's a myth that Jaguar Land Rover are a premium brand.......They're just a premium price!
