Yes totally agree it makes litle sense visually, and that was what I was doing with added Tech Pack.

However, as soon as I sat in the Prestige I new I had to have one, it just felt a much nicer place to be, than in the Pure.

Arrived 16th December 2011: 5 door Prestige SD4 auto in Barolo black with ambience interior, pano roof, privacy and 20" style 6 alloys.Very Happy

I went to the show fully expecting to change my order to the Dynamic but once the Pure is loaded up with most of the extras, in particular the fog lights, privacy glass and 20in. wheels there is very little difference imho

Agree, I think once the buyer has chosen their Evoque we maybe become somewhat theme centric on what we have chosen, and perhaps subconsciously (or visually) choose to ignore the deltas between each model.

However I think there is a distinct difference between all three models (or themes). And I would not say that each theme is so subtle that it deserves to be devalued either. The Prestige clearly has a higher quality interior finish, and the Dynamic clearly has a different body styling. Trust me from the rear the Dynamic looks distinctly different from the Pure or even the Prestige.

The only question I guess being raised here is whether or not the additional cost for these different features Pure vs. Prestige or Pure vs. Dynamic is a justified additional cost. That can only be 'techicnally' compared by its residual values, but none the less I assume it’s being compared by peoples budgeting factors which is more subjective.

Arrived 22nd December - SD4 Dynamic Auto, Fuji White, Panoramic/Contrast Roof, Dynamic Plus & Lux Pack

RE: Just got back from NEC Evoque Live

You can get cheaper iPad headrest holders like this one. My four year old just holds it in her lap though we don't use the iPad in the car or TV screens for that matter. She is happy playing with her toys or starring out the window on long drives Smile

Whilst I didn't go to the NEC event, they had the same cars at the Canary Wharf Motor Expo in London this week. The leather in the higher spec cars are much nicer and closer to the quality of the leather in my full fat RR. That being said, if I do get an Evoque it will be a Pure. With the nicer leather in my current car and a preschooler, you are always worried. Cheaper leather tends to be more durable with kids then the softer stuff. Just my 2p

It would be used for their DVDs that we have to play on repeat so not really movies that get you'd get online.
Holding an iPad on their laps not an option, good idea for older kids. Just want something hassle free that is always in the car, ready to go. It's a huge add on cost but essential for my two. Car journeys now are a nightmare and the reason for buying a LR is so we can get out and about and see some more of the UK

Thanks cjfp........ cover blown now. Escorted from the NEC and banned for life!

I might have to cancel my plans to impersonate a member of Take That at Sunderland tonight.....

Take That have more luck than the lads, the SOL has never been so full!

I so wish I could order the Dual View screen and RSE. LR-SA wont even put them on optional extras list, I cant imagine why

Maybe they think the market for the DVS and RSE are limited and not worth the hassle.

Maybe, but I want them and no one at LR-SA can give me a reason why I cannot have them; even when I'm willing to pay. It can't be government legislation because our FFRR are imported with these features as standard.
What irritates me is LR-SA making things we really dont need like Solar attenuating glass standard on the Evoque. That will be usefull in a tiny area of SA, and nobody lives there

I think it would be hot enough in Johannesburg for solar attenuating glass to be standard, as it is in Australia - we're both on the same latitude.
