It's the transmitter for rear seat entertainment apparently.

I think he means the smaller one which is further forward. You can see it quite clearly in the photographs from the devon county fair. Someone said that they thought it was a proximity sensor and touch detection for the overhead map lights.

For a cold country sure but not for a hot one. In fact cloth seats are better in hot countries. Lambs wool seats covers are very popular Down Under.

The 20" side wall is 110.25mm vs 129.25mm of the 19". The Silver Pure's 18" are 141mm

Which car had privacy glass? From the photos of the Silver, Red, and White vehicles none of them have privacy glass.
EDIT: Looking at the Photos3.docx attachment it looks like the Black Prestige and the Red Coupe have privacy glass.

That's a bigger difference between the 19" and 20" rims than I would have expected.
If the rolling radius is the same and the 19" has a 129.25mm sidewall then the 20" should be 116.5mm. Only 6mm but every little helps Very Happy

Who knows what size wheel/tyre was used to provide the speedo calibration. If it was the 19" then the 20" will have an increase in speedo error of 1.7%

Try all the sizes yourself here: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Does that mean that a car on the 20" rims will be faster? (well according to the speedo anyway) Smile

Thanks Kermit, that's a useful tool.

No, it will be slower than a vehicle on 19" wheels by 1.7% given the specified tyre sizes. I.e 100 kmh vs 98.3 kmh. The 18" tyres produce a 0.3% error. I.e 99.7 kmh (relative to the 19"). The 17"'s error is 2.3%. I.e 97.7 kmh (again relative to the 19").

Note: the speedo will probably have an error of 6-8 kmh. I.e an indicated 100 kmh will actually be 92-94 kmh.

Exactly, that's why I stated 'according to speedo' and punctuated it with a smiley face. Rolling Eyes
