JLR now cancelling orders?

Read the below from the other forum, if true its an interesting and worrying development.

Doesn't surprise me. My friends had his order since may and it was severely delay and now cancelled!

cancelled by JLR though? if so do you know the exact reason?

The great (?) thing about the internet is that a post like this can appear on a forum and can become “fact” very quickly, when in reality its nothing of the sort. I have been the victim of many a fleet team email and just because they say JLR cancelled the order doesn’t make it so. It could be “we let you order a RRE” because we thought it would be £XXX a month as we thought we would get our standard fleet discount on the car. They now find out there’s no discounts on the car (their mistake) so instead of saying we can’t now afford to give you this car it’s easier to say JLR have cancelled the order. I’m not saying this is the scenario ... but it could be. I’ve been on the wrong end of delayed orders many times ... and that’s exactly what happens .......they get delayed not cancelled (by the manufacturer at least). I would be very surprised if JLR actually cancelled an order .... why would they?

Absolutely, I would be surprised if LR had actually cancelled that order.
