JLR loose 5,800 vehicles
According to some press reports

JLR may have lost as many as 5,800 cars in the explosion in Tianjin, China and this following only 7 months after loosing 1,200 when the Hoegh Osaka ran aground in the Solent.
Arrived - SD4 Prestige, 5 door, manual in Orkney Grey with Element interior. Style 4 wheels, spare wheel & auto-dimming rear view mirror.

I'm sure that they are all insured up to the hilt. It is unfortunate what happened there but Tianjing, like all of the ports on the Yellow Sea are not places that I would really ever want to go back to - vast sprawling industrial complexes with mile upon mile of dreary buildings. It is also unfortunate that the Chinese idea of Health and Safety at work is not quite the same as we have here in Europe.
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
