It isn't only LR that has poor dealers
Just been looking on another forum for some info and found this about MB dealers on the MB forums........
I was told I couldn't afford to buy an SLK by one of the local dealerships a few years back when I had an all boxes ticked Disco1 V8 ES.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Some salesmen are so far up their own ***e it is unreal and the sad truth is that when he leaves work for the day he probably gets into his Focus lol.

Mercedes dealers are terrible. My SL55 AMG has been in with them to fix a problem since 13th August. 5 weeks today. Desparate.
