Roof Rails
Does anyone know if I need to have LR roof rails fitted to enable roof bars to be used. The costs for the LR fitted rails are v high.

RE: Roof Rails
No you don't the Thule system from Halfords works on Evoque, if you use the search function you will find quite a few threads about fitting Thule systems to the car, if you already have a set of Thule bars from a previous car then you may only need to change the feet/ mountings. IIRC the LR system is made by Thule and rebranded as LR along with a huge price rise/ profit margin

RE: Roof Rails
I have just purchased said roof bars (and roofbox). Not sure Halfrauds will be the cheapest option, worth a shop around. Try roofbox.co.uk
Note though, that these roof bars are only an option if you have a 5 door car. The roof bars fix just above the doors, so on a coupe there is nothing to fix under for the rear bar. So roof rails would be your only option and yes they are pricey, hence why didnt go for that option. Only need the bars a couple of times a year, couldn't justify it.
