Is it not possible to safely preheat the car?

This morning I thought I'd get the at warm before leaving so I started the engine and went to lock the doors... but they wouldn't lock.

Is it not possible to lock the car with the engine running?!

Not while the engineis running and you are outside of the car, Im working on an RF module kit with a keyring plip that should let us do this as an added option.
