Interior Lights

Hi All,

First post!

My wife has a 3dr dynamic petrol evoque, which she is completely smitten with!

The only thing is the interior lights don't come on when you open the doors, which is bit tricky given the time of year!

They work if your run your hand past them, but like I said not if you open the door!

Nothing in the manual that I can see, just wondered if anyone else had this problem.

Right then...........hold your finger on the centre interior light for 2 seconds.........shut the door.......open the door.....lights now on....yes??

Think you need to post that in the tips and tricks! where did you get that from?

I was going to say on the 5 door the rear interior lights can be switched between auto and off with the switch immediately next to the light as one of mine wasnt coming on.

I found it out by accident one day when I had switched them off!

Details are in the manual which comes with the car.

Manual Wrote:3. Front interior lamp. Illuminates when the
doors are unlocked and extinguishes 60
seconds after all doors are closed, when
the engine starts or when the vehicle is
locked. Move a finger close to (or touch)
the lens to switch on and off manually.
Touch the lens for two seconds to
deactivate/activate automatic illumination.
